What is ABBYY FineReader PDF
ABBYY FineReader PDF is a program for working with PDF documents and scanned files. It recognizes text in scans and photos (OCR technology), so a paper contract, invoice or book page can be turned into an editable Word or Excel file, and a PDF document can be edited like ordinary text.
FineReader PDF is sold as a subscription for 1 or 3 years. The Standard and Corporate versions are for Windows computers, FineReader PDF for Mac – for macOS. All versions are suitable for both home and work – only the features differ.

How much does ABBYY FineReader PDF cost?
Annual subscription: FineReader PDF for Mac – from 69,95 €, Standard – from 99,95 €, Corporate – from 167,95 €. Prices include VAT. Prices for 3-year subscriptions and multiple licenses are shown on the product page once you choose the option you want.
Can I try ABBYY FineReader PDF for free?
Yes. The manufacturer ABBYY offers a free 7-day trial version that can be downloaded from the official ABBYY website. After the trial period, the program requires a license.
How will I receive the license?
We send the license key and a link to the program to the email address you provide when buying. We do not ship a paper box – it is an electronic license straight from the manufacturer's distribution channel.
Will I get a VAT invoice?
Yes. The VAT invoice is issued by UAB „Atviros informacinės sistemos“ (VAT code LT100001169315) and we send it together with the license.
What is the difference between Standard and Corporate?
Corporate additionally has document comparison, automated processing via Hot Folder, ABBYY Screenshot Reader and a wider choice of license types. Everything else – viewing, editing, recognition and conversion – is the same in both versions. Detailed comparison here.
Will a Windows license work on a Mac?
No. FineReader PDF for Mac is a separate product with its own license. If you work with both Windows and macOS, you will need separate licenses.
What happens when the subscription ends?
The subscription is valid for 1 or 3 years from activation. Before it ends we will remind you and send a renewal offer – you can keep working with the same license.
Need more than one license?
From 5 licenses the price per license is lower, and more flexible license types become available. Tell us how many workstations you need and we will send an offer – more about multiple licenses.
More than 5 workstations?
From 5 licenses separate licensing schemes apply – Per Seat, Remote User, Concurrent, and from 50 licenses also Site License. They apply to both Standard and Corporate. The price depends on the number of workstations and the term.
