Who this version is for
FineReader PDF Standard is a full-featured PDF editor for everyday work with documents. It has everything you need to turn a paper or scanned document into a neat, searchable and editable file: the ABBYY text recognition engine, PDF editing, conversion to Office formats, forms, comments and protection.
The Standard version lacks only two things that the Corporate version has – document comparison and automated processing via Hot Folder. Everything else is the same in both versions.
What you can do
View and find. Several view modes, navigation by pages, comments and metadata. Full-text search works even in scanned PDFs – found text can be replaced or redacted right away. Bookmarks, links, headers and footers and page numbers help organize long documents.
Edit. Text can be edited by paragraph rather than line by line: the paragraph reflows across the whole page, as in a word processor. You can edit text in tables, move layout elements, insert or remove images. Text and tables can be copied from any PDF while keeping the formatting.
Manage pages. Add, delete, move, rotate and crop pages, merge several documents into one PDF, split a document by size, page count or bookmarks. Stamps, Bates numbering and watermarks.
Create PDFs. PDFs can be created from more than 25 file formats or directly from a paper document. The archival PDF/A standards (1a to 3u) and the PDF/UA accessibility standard for screen readers are supported.
Recognize text (OCR). A paper document, scan or page photographed with a phone becomes a searchable PDF or an editable Word, Excel or other file while keeping the layout. Image pre-processing tools remove the background and correct perspective, and recognition verification shows only characters that might have been recognized incorrectly – no need to check the whole text. MRC compression greatly reduces PDF size.
Fill in and create forms. You can fill in interactive forms and create your own fillable PDF form: text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, drop-down lists, list boxes, buttons and a signature field. A non-fillable PDF can be made fillable.
Collaborate. Notes, text boxes, markup and drawing tools, replies to comments and comment statuses, search and filtering among comments. Several digital signatures can be collected in one PDF.
Protect and sign. Multi-level password protection: separately for opening the document and for actions – printing, editing, copying content. Redaction removes sensitive data irreversibly, including headers and footers, comments and metadata. Digital signature with a certificate, handwritten signature image and signature verification.

It also recognizes 28 types of barcodes, including QR Code, Code 128, EAN, UPC, Data Matrix and PDF417.
Languages
198 languages and any combination of them are recognized – one document can contain several languages at once. 53 languages have dictionary support, including Lithuanian, Latvian, Polish and Russian. Estonian is recognized, but without a dictionary.

License and delivery
You buy a 1 or 3 year subscription for one workstation. We send the license key and a link to the program by email within 1 business hour after payment (working days 9:00–17:00), together with a VAT invoice. A license can be moved to another computer after deactivation – the number of deactivations is limited.
